Find your perfect gift at Tamisa

TAMISA SHOP in the historic town of Mijas is an exquisite jewellery and gift shop.

It first opened in1965, when a Spaniard originally from Murcia fell in love with the town. Sonia Rivera, daughter of the founder said: “My father first opened an antique shop. The business evolved over the years, always with the aim of offering customers high-quality gifts, jewels, watches and art that cannot be found elsewhere in the town. Currently we are proud to have three establishments: Tamisa, La Gruta and El Shop.

Tamisa offers a large selection of only the best brands. “Majorica pearls, Lladro porcelain, Carrera y Carrera watches, Swarovski gifts…,” Sonia Rivera explained. “The art gallery within the shop showcases local and foreign artists to the delight of visitors and clients, who keep coming back year after year.

La Gruta, a cave dating back to the 9th century, has a selection of Spanish jewellery and an exhibition of Spanish artists. “A visit is really worth it,” Ms Rivera said. El Shop also houses the work of Scottish artist David Marshall.
