ARTIST: Jose Fernandez Rios creates surprisingly realistic scene at school.
THE latest addition to Estepona’s collection of artistic murals will be the first to cover an entire building.
Painted by Jaen artist Jose Fernandez Rios, the mural of a gardener tending to a bougainvillea will spread across all four walls of a building at Victor de la Serna infant and primary school.
The 300 square metre mural aims to confuse passersby, who may think they are looking at a real gardener, the painter explained.
Fernandez Rios has painted other murals in the town, including Dia de Pesca (Fishing Day), which became the tallest mural in Spain covering almost 1,000 square metres.
