THE Malaga Music Festival scheduled to be held in Mijas at the end of May has relocated to Manilva.The organisers of the Malaga Music Festival have announced that instead of the original venue in Mijas, they will now be staging the concert in Manilva.They said the three-day festival will be held at the Manilva fairground from Friday 29 to Sunday May 31, and features a packed line-up of acts, mostly from the UK, including such names as The Arkanes, The Universal, and 80’s soul band The Christians, amongst others.The mayor of Manilva has said via the town’s website, “The Music Festival is the most important musical event of the province, and will be held at the fairgrounds on May 29, 30 and 31, where the municipality will host the event after being chosen for its multiple facilities.“In addition to the musical entertainment, the event is designed for families. There will be playgrounds and attractions for all ages.”They added, “The international impact to Manilva will be important, but also, about 200 people will benefit directly through employment because of it, as various positions such as cleaning aids, safety, security etc. will become available.”Tickets are available from the website which is currently being amended to reflect the new location.
