A RESTAURANT owner has been arrested in Holon, Israel, for putting marihuana on a pizza ordered by police officers.
Although the officers thought it was oregano, they became ill shortly after eating and went to hospital with stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Tests found that they had consumed a type of synthetic cannabis known as Mr Nice Guy, which had been sprinkled over their pizza.
“I knew they were officers, but they said I could use whatever toppings I liked,” the restaurant owner told the police when he was arrested.
According to El Cannabis, an online Hebrew magazine, a police spokesman confirmed that the remains of the pizza had been sent to a laboratory for analysis but the results had not yet been received.
The magazine added that the police intend to close the restaurant on the grounds of public health risks.
