Safety ahoy!

LA CALA de Mijas’ second largest park and playground, Parque El Barco, has undergone extensive work to improve safety for small sailors.
Work on the playground, which features fun, boat-shaped apparatus, was included in the Municipal Children’s Parks and Playgrounds Improvement Plan and suggested by a specialist playground safety company that collaborates with the council.
Rubber floor tiles were swapped for a new matt of the same material to meet safety regulations, and all flaws were repaired by the municipal workers, who carry out maintenance on local parks on a daily basis, the council reported.
