APPROXIMATELY 34,000 construction workers in Malaga Province are in for a slight pay rise.Comisiones Obreras trade union representative Alfonso Galisteo announced the increase after an agreement was reached for the 2015 Construction Trade Salary Review.Although just 0.6 per cent, which will give builders and construction workers an average of €120 extra per year, it is the first rise the workers have had since 2013 and is seen as a positive step.The rise is applicable from January 1, meaning those who have been laid off or left their jobs this year can request the difference from their former employers once the new salary tables appear on the Official Provincial Bulletin (BOP), Galisteo explained.
