Final arrest in drugs operation

THE youngest member of ‘El Pablo’ clan was arrested by National Police in Palma and has been remanded in prison.
This puts an end to an operation against drug sales in La Soledat district involving the family of well-known dealer Pablo Campos Maya, or ‘El Pablo’.
Over the past few weeks, Ivan, 24, had managed to evade the police after avoiding a raid last month with another member, by cutting his hair, growing a beard and changing his way of dressing.
However, he was finally caught in a surprise raid on his home.
He refused to give a statement and was charged with belonging to a criminal organisation, drug trafficking, money laundering and illegally using the electricity supply.
He will also face charges for prostitution and corruption of minors as he had regular contact with a 16-year-old girl who he allegedly forced to have sex with him and his friends.
Last month’s raid led to 24 arrests, including El Pablo and members of his family.
