FORMER Queen Sofia, King Felipe’s mother, will be opening the third CIEN International Conference on Neurodegenerative Disease Investigation and Innovation in Malaga on Monday (September 21).
The conference will be running at the city’s Barcelo hotel for three days with the first coinciding with World Alzheimer’s Day.
Organised by the Reina Sofia Foundation, the CIEN Foundation and the CIBERNED Centre, both dedicated to studying neurodegenerative diseases, the conference will be attended by national and international investigators who will discuss new discoveries and treatment of various illnesses including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease.
