DEPUTY Major and Head of the municipal cleaning company LIMDECO, Francisco Sanchez-Cantalejo announced that cleaning works across the town’s beaches have already concluded.
“Since the heavy rains and strong winds registered a few weeks ago, the cleaning process of our coasts has been tough, as the sea has been spitting out more and more waste,” said Mr Sanchez-Cantalejo.
More than 180,000 kg of waste has been collected in barely one week.
Sanchez Cantalejo finished by saying that, even though the summer season is already over, the town’s weather continues to encourage visitors to the beaches in the months of September and October.
