CONSTRUCTION of a new €70-million luxury holiday apartment resort announced this week by Club La Costa World Resorts in Mijas Costa, will create between 300 and 500 jobs.
Salvador Diaz, construction director for the company, made the announcement with Mijas Mayor Juan Carlos Maldonado, Town Planning Councillor Andres Ruiz and Manuel Sanchez from the town hall (pictured right to left), that a project to build 250 luxury holiday apartments, which had been awaiting approval for seven years, has finally been given the green light.
The project, with an estimated investment of €70 million, will create jobs for up to 500 people from the construction sector during the 18 months work is due to last. Then Club La Costa will be increasing its number of employees on the Costa del Sol from 1,300 to 1,600 to cater for the extra 30,000 visitors per year expected to visit the resort.
