FOOD DRIVES: Are vital to help feed those in need across the province.
THE Costa del Sol food bank (Bancosol) and Mercadona supermarkets in Malaga Province are holding a food drive on Friday and Saturday (June 17-18), which will see 790 volunteers manning 77 collection points.
Mercadona stores in Malaga City, Alhaurin de la Torre, Alhaurin el Grande, Alora, Antequera, Archidona, Benahavis, Benalmadena, Campillos, Cartama, Coin, Estepona, Fuengirola, Marbella, Manilva, Mijas, Ronda and Torremolinos will all have points set up during normal opening hours on both days, where customers are invited to donate basic goods for those in need.
Bancosol explained that dried and non-perishable food stuffs such as oil, rice, milk and baby food are always needed.
