MORE that 300 migrants have broken through the fence surrounding Spain’s enclave of Ceuta in North Africa.
The Guardia Civil said that a surveillance camera picked up how more than 500 people approached the fence with tools to break through one of the gates.
Two officers were injured and are being treated at a local hospital.
Hundreds of sub-Saharan African migrants try to enter Ceuta and Melilla, Spain’s other North African enclave, each year in hope of getting to Europe.
