Four people including a baby rescued from a burning building in Marbella

NEIGHBOURS alerted 112 Emergency Services to the fact that smoke was being seen issuing from a property on Calle Jacinto Benavente in Marbella early this morning (Saturday).

The fire brigade assisted by Local Police and medical services attended the scene and discovered the fire on the fourth floor of the property.

As the fire was being brought under control, officers evacuated all present in the building but four people were badly affected by smoke inhalation and were taken to the Costa del Sol hospital.

Those taken for treatment were an eleven-month-old baby, a man of 36, a woman of 37 and a 70-year-old woman.
