Heart-broken grandfather pays touching tribute to four-year-old Brit boy who drowned on holiday in Spain

THE grieving grandfather of a four-year-old British boy, Presley Stockton, who died yesterday (Wednesday) at a hotel resort in Spain has paid tribute to the little lad on social media.
Writing on his Facebook page, Mike Jolley said, “Our little P, our little whirlwind Presley has been taken from us. Our family is broken hearted, fly high my little Angel, you was one in a million, nana Sharon Jolley Caitlin Jolley New Kirsty loved you so much.”
The young boy died on the second day of his family holiday at the four-star, 376-room hotel Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel in Los Cristianos, Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands despite attempts to revive him by paramedics and an air ambulance crew.
The hotel has five swimming pools and four hot tubs.
In a statement, the 112 emergency services control centre said: “An alert was received at 3.40pm informing us that a child who appeared to have been involved in a drowning incident and was suffering possible cardiac arrest, had been pulled out of a swimming pool at a hotel in the resort.
“Efforts to revive the youngster using CPR proved unsuccessful and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“Local police cooperated with the emergency services and cleared an area for an air ambulance to land near the hotel complex.”

National Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “Our staff are supporting the family of a British child who died in Tenerife and are in contact with Spanish authorities.”
Friends of the family have taken to social media to show their support to the family.
Elaine Halliwell said, “Oh Mike I am so sorry to hear this please give our love and condolences to all the family xx”
Gill Seddon added, “Thinking of you all my heart goes out to you xx”
Jim Brentnall wrote, “Mike I’m so so sorry for your loss my mate. May that little lad fly with angels. 😔 ”
