WATCH: 40ft waves smash into seafront building ripping it apart in Spain’s Canary Islands

ENORMOUS waves have smashed into seafront apartment block in Tenerife smashing the property’s balconies to smithereens.

Although the Canary Islands were on weather alert for severe storms many people were surprised by the destruction the waves wrecked.
However, it didn’t stop one wag commenting on the video: “What hotel is this? I’m going to book my mother-in-law into it on the bottom floor!”
