GRANADA boasts the largest Christmas tree in Europe and the second largest in the world.
Located at the Nevada Shopping Centre in Armilla, the Ilmex Illumination creation stands at 56 metres, the height of a huge building.
Designers spent months designing and installing the tree, which is made of aluminium rods and steel wire, but consists mainly of electric standard and flash garlands and string lights – thousands of LEDs.
A company spokesperson said: “For our team, the holiday season is a year round process as they gather their inspiration for the next holiday.”
The biggest Christmas tree in the world is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is 84 metres tall.
