JUNCTION: The new plan will still allow access to the Ronda de Santa Pola. Photo: Wikimedia
THE project to restructure the N-332 junction that gives drivers access to Santa Pola is being tackled for a second time after modifications to the first set of plans have been made. The Department of Public Works has now begun the public information procedure and has provisionally approved the new plans. The Santa Pola intersection at KM 87,800 to 88,700 is notorious for traffic build-ups and, from a road safety point of view, is particularly dangerous. The new plan will still allow access to the Ronda de Santa Pola, but at a much safer point, replacing the two middle lanes road users currently take when turning left into Santa Pola. It has been estimated that the project will cost €3.9 million.
