A PARAGLIDER has died while taking part in the sport in Spain.
The 30-year-victim, of French nationality, became separated from a group in Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands according to the 112 emergency services.
The remainder of the group landed safely in the Puertito de Güímar as planned. |
The paraglider, in cardiorespiratory arrest, was located in a ravine in Fasnia and a rescue helicopter was called in to fly him to Tenerife North Airport being transferred to hospital by road ambulance. Despite administering CPR medical staff could only confirm his death.
Guardia Civil officers have now opened proceedings to investigate the accident.
