FOUR people are under arrest after Guardia Civil uncovered five so-called ‘narco flats’ in Roquetas de Mar.

The Guardia discovered some 200 illegal connections to the electricity supply, which were being used to power equipment for indoor marijuana plantations in the apartments located in various parts of the municipality. Officers also seized 279 marijuana plants.

The four detainees, all from Roquetas, face charges of cultivating and producing drugs and defrauding the power supply.
