AN air and sea search is continuing for an American teen girl who is thought to have fallen overboard from a luxury cruise liner in Spain’s Balearic Islands.
The Norwegian Epic was en route for Palma (Mallorca) from Menorca but turned around when the girl was reported missing. She was last seen at 1am Saturday morning wearing pink pajamas on a balcony when her parents went to bed.
Staff and passengers were asked to scour every corner of the ship and scan the sea for the missing teen.
Maritime Rescue (Salvamento Maritimo) were called in and at dawn this morning restarted the search when they dispatched a SAR plane to search an area about 40 nautical miles from the Mallorca coast.
