Details are emerging of a young 21-year-old student from Cantabria that has drowned in a swimming pool whilst on an Erasmus exchange program in Italy.
The student, only formally identified as JAE, was studying nursing at the University of Cantabria.
The university is working closely with the family of the girl to complete all the necessary paperwork to bring her back to Cantabria.
The rector of the school has conveyed his condolences to the family for their loss.
