FIREFIGHTERS have been sent to tackle a blaze which broke out in Huercal de Almeria today (Sunday) but tackling it is proving difficult.
Andalucia’s Plan INFOCA wildfire service declared the blaze had started at around 10am. A total of 32 firefighters have been sent to put it out, along with eight aircraft including a heavy water dropping plane.

Plan INFOCA said there was not a moment’s rest for crews tackling the blaze.
“The area is difficult to access by land and personnel are being airlifted there. The presence of gusts of winds complicates the situation,” Plan INFOCA said.
