A MAN has died after being shot dead inside a National Police station in the Nervión neighbourhood of Seville, Spain.
The incident occurred on Friday (November 22), after a man was reported to be brandishing a knife in front of the station, threatening to kill himself.
The man then entered inside, cutting his own neck with a knife, launching an attack on an officer. Several shots were then fired by another police officer, with the man pronounced dead at the scene.
The body has been transferred to the Forensic Anatomical Institute of Seville, Spain for an autopsy, where it will be determined if the man died as a result of the self-inflicted cut to his neck or by the shots fired into his body.
We at Euro Weekly News understand that the National Police believe that the man, of American nationally, suffered from psychiatric problems.
