A group of wild boar in Tuscany have sniffed out and destroyed a stash of cocaine in a forest, leaving drug dealers £25,000 out of pocket.
The hidden stash of white powder was strewn across the Valdichiana valley after being dug up sniffed and eaten by the feral boars.
The police who had phone tapped the local drug dealers chuckled to themselves when they heard the dealers complaining about the bust by the hogs.
The drug gang – who are made up of one Italian and three Albanians – had buried the class A drug in glass jam jars and were allegedly trafficking around two kilos of cocaine every month to the cities of Arezzo and Siena with a considerable operation.
The glass jam jars buried in the ground were not not strong enough to fool the wild boars as they snouted it out.
After cops stopped chuckling to themselves of the assistance of their drug busting pals – the phone tap led them to the arrest of the drug dealers.
The gang were said to have been operating from September 2018 to March 2019 and charged £85 per gram for high purity cocaine, according to the Italian media.
