Denia’s oldest resident passes away

DENIA’S oldest resident has passed away.

Francisca Serra Ferrandiz, who reached the grand old age of 101 in October, died on Thursday.

As a young woman Francisca worked in Denia’s raisin warehouses. Later in her life she emigrated to Paris, but she returned to her home town, where two years ago she was honoured with the council’s gold insignia on the International Day of the Elderly.
