ALICANTE city council has allocated more than €400,000 to upgrades to the Local Police’s 31-year old central station building, including the installation of a lift and a new air-conditioning system.

The council said the decision did not affect plans to invest €1.5 million in a future Playa de San Juan Local Police station.
