THE Costa Blanca has its eye firmly on the LGTBI market, and Alicante city wants to make sure it does not miss out. The council is planning to create an official directory of companies and events in the city orientated to the LGTBI community, which it will use to promote Alicante at the FITUR Gay section of the Madrid international travel fair next month. Carlos Lamm from the Entendemos association for LGTBI-friendly people and businesses told Spanish press the directory would be an important and necessary promotional tool to ensure Alicante, and the Costa Blanca, don’t lose out to locations like Ibiza and Barcelona.
