BRITISH NEWS: Ice Bucket Challenge Man Dies

Pete Frates’ battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inspired the internet sensation that raised millions of pounds for research. Sadly he’s passed away at just 34 years old.

Everyone from world leaders to cartoon characters, and most likely many of your friends and family, took part in the internet sensation when it exploded into life on the internet and social media channels 2014.

The challenge, swept rapidly across the internet at the time as participants drenched themselves by a cold bucket of water filled with ice before selecting others to follow with it too and share largely thanks to Pete.

After being diagnosed himself he set up the ice bucket challenge and it went onto raise about £200 million worldwide, with famous faces taking part as well as thousands and thousands of the general public world wide.

Despite the sad news his legacy will live on forever.
