Search on for missing Gata de Gorgos man on Costa Blanca

THE search for a man who went missing in Gata de Gorgos on December 10 continues today Thursday.
The local Civil Protection group put out a call on social media to members of the public who want to help look for 51-year old Gata de Gorgos local Miguel Angel Gilabert Garcia to gather at 8am for a briefing in the locality’s multi-purpose building and to be organised into groups before joining firefighters, local police and the Guardia Civil in the search operation.
Miguel Angel has not been seen since he set off first thing on Tuesday morning to find mushrooms and a mobile phone he had lost in a mountainous area of the municipality.
Today the search efforts are concentrating on areas of vegetation of the Font de la Mata mountain and Els Serrillars.
Miguel Angel is described as 1.82 metres tall and weighing 90 kilos. He was wearing jeans and dark jacket with yellow stripes and brown boots. He also had on a brown gunbelt.
