A MARITIME Rescue helicopter evacuated a cruise ship passenger to Alicante-Elche airport after he reportedly suffered a heart attack at sea. The airlift took place after the ship, MSC Magnifica, alerted emergency services to the plight of one of its passengers whilst the vessel was 23 km southeast of the coast of Alicante. The patient, a Swiss man, aged 72-years-old, was evacuated to Alicante’s airport along with his wife last Wednesday morning and transferred to hospital for treatment.
