Two people have been killed in a horror collision involving a heavy-duty vehicle transporter and a car in Spain.
According to sources from the Castilla-La Mancha 112 emergency services, a car with two occupants inside veered off the N-301 road which connects Cuenca to San Clemente at approximately 9.30am this morning (February 17). The car collided with the vehicle transporter, being completely destroyed by the impact.
As the incident was called in by local residents who described a scene of total carnage, officers from the Guardia Civil, the Villarrobledo Fire Brigade and an ambulance were deployed to the highway.
Fighters were able to cut the two trapped victims from the car, however paramedics pronounced the individuals dead at the scene.
As Euro Weekly News understands, an investigation has now been launched by the police to determine the exact circumstances behind the fatal incident.
