A serial lockdown breaker in Spain has committed suicide in jail.
THE unnamed man had been jailed three weeks ago in Logroño Prison in northern Spain, after he was found infringing the State of Alarm isolation rules on 16 occasions.
He was also sentenced for drugs offences and reports say that the 40-year-old hung himself in his cell yesterday (May 3).
A fellow inmate told guards that he was worried about the man’s mental state of health, and he had been placed into self-isolation after he presented symptoms of having the coronavirus.
Prison staff checked his cell and found that he had hung himself with his bed sheets.
