Costa Blanca is getting ready for the influx of tourists who are now arriving in Benidorm and as a safety measure, they have reinforced the cleaning and disinfection protocols. Better late than never, but the summer season is now kicking off, and Benidorm has reinforced its street cleaning.
The councillor in the area, Jose Ramon Gonzalez de Zarete, has added that this reinforcement will be “progressive” and “expanded” according to the needs of the city at all times. Therefore, the town hall and the concessionary company has decided it will evaluate and analyse the cleaning and waste collection to ensure that its needs are attended to.
Benidorm hopes that this added layer of security will let residents, and tourists alike, feel safer when enjoying the streets of Benidorm. The Mayor has also announced that “based on the numbers of garbage collectors and the influx of people there will be an increase in staff”.
Furthermore, “as in previous seasons, we have a scrubber cleaner for cleaning the pavement of the Paseo de Poniente and all pedestrian areas, which have increased significantly since last year, and especially in recent months, with the aim to generate more space for people to walk” assured the mayor.
