The Cueva de Nerja Foundation and the Maro VG Apartments have been awarded the Integral System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations (SICTED) certificate for quality.

COUNCILLOR for Tourism, Gema García, presented the accreditations in the Commonwealth of Municipalities office, the managing body responsible for the Secretary of State for Tourism grants, with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, FEMP.
García congratulated the Cueva de Nerja Foundation and the tourist company of Maro “who join the 60 companies and services that have obtained the SICTED quality certificate from the destination Costa del Sol Axarquia, complying with all the established protocols to achieve this award and further enhance our image as a quality tourist destination. ”
The Commonwealth is responsible for offering advice and training to both the private and public sectors to make it easier for applicants to obtain accreditations.
Among the criteria which are evaluated are the internal organisation, the qualification of staff, the quality of equipment and services, compliance with regulations, and the relationship with customers.
