Scorcher for Montgo Golf Society

FRIDAY August 6 saw probably the hottest temperature for a Montgo Golf Society fixture this year.
Eleven players took part in a Blue Tee competition, sponsored by John Day, where the ladies received a few extra shots and the men a few less. Unfortunately one of our guests, Jeannie White, had to stop due to the heat but the rest managed to struggle on
Caz Welch won her third competition in four weeks with 36 points, followed by Nigel Siddall (35) and Alan Lowans (34).
Our other guest, Chris (Stella and Simon Fox’s son-in-law) won Nearest the Pin on Hole Six and Sue Burman Nearest the Pin on 16.
Like most weeks, no-one managed to get on Hole 11 and a card draw went to Stella Fox. The week’s only Two went to Nigel Siddall.
