Instead of driving, take the aquabus

An Aquabus was launched in Denia, making the best of the town´s marine resources.

For many years there have been attempts to link the port of Denia to the rest of the town; on April 24 the public demand was finally realized by Mundo Marino. The company presented the aquabus service as the key development to facilitate tourists and residents.

Mundo Marino assigned two boats to be used for the service, with the main one having a capacity for 50 passengers and the other for 30. The larger boat functions partly on solar energy and is adapted for people with disabilities.

The manager of Mundo Marina,  David de Haro, announced the service to be in function throughout the weekends in May and daily in June, from 7pm until 2am.

The larger aquabus will take a route of 10 minutes, making four steps across Denia, including Mundo Marino, the Antigua Ancla Dénia in the Paseo de El Raset side, Marina El Portet and Marina de Dénia. The smaller boat follows the same route and also makes excursions to Cova Tallada.

With the offer of stunning sea views and efficiency in the times of tourist increase, the aquabus becomes an authentic and much-needed way of transportation.

The Aquabus is priced €3.5 per adult one way and €5 for a round trip. For children, the price is €1.5 one way and €2.5 for a round trip.
