Benidorm launches month-long festive programme for Christmas 2025

THE TOURISTIC, cultural, and social hub of Costa Blanca North, Benidorm, kicked off its Christmas programme at the end of November and is preparing to celebrate an entire month of festivities, from Christmas house expositions, the lighting of the city’s decorative Christmas lights, dance performances, exhibitions, parades, an ice rink, and much more.

Beninadal 2025 kicks off with lights and a major concert

The programme, called “Beninadal 2025,” officially began on Saturday, November 29 with the opening of La Casa de Navidad (the Christmas House) and saw the city light up with decorations for the holiday season, marking the beginning of holiday- and winter-themed activities that will continue until January 6, 2026. The inauguration of the event was highlighted by a performance by talented Spanish singer Gisela in the Plaza de la Navidad, which delighted audiences.

Programme to continue into January with daily activities and events

From December, the programme will adorn the month with children’s shows, dance performances, cultural theatre shows, amusement rides, several holiday-themed exhibitions, an ice rink, and of course, a traditional Christmas market full of artisan goods, handicrafts, and local treats and delicacies.

Additionally, the public will be able to enjoy two nativity scenes, one in the Plaza de SS MM Reyes de España, open to the public from Saturday, December 6, and another, traditionally set up by ACR La Barqueta at its headquarters on Tomás Ortuño Street, available for viewing from Monday, December 8. The visits are completely free and open to all ages, and both will be available until Tuesday, January 6.

Santa Claus is coming to Benidorm … joined by the Royal Postman

As with every year, the city will also receive a visit from Santa Claus at the Christmas House on November 29 and 30, and on December 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The Royal Postman will also pay a visit to Christmas Square from January 2 to 4 at 6:00pm to collect children’s letters. From January 2 to 5, the Three Kings’ Camp will also be set up in the gardens surrounding the Town Hall, which children can visit before the arrival of Their Majesties on the evening of January 5, when the Grand Parade will take place.

Special shows at the Benidorm Cultural Centre

In the auditorium of the Cultural Centre, grand performances will also take place, including the magic show ‘Goosebumps’ by Mago Hugo on Friday, December 26 at 6:00pm; the children’s show ‘Coco: The Musical’ on Saturday, December 27, at 12:30pm and 6:00pm; and the New Year’s Concert, performed by the Benidorm Musical Union orchestra and soprano Pepi Lloret. According to the mayor of Benidorm, Antonio Pérez Pérez, new surprises will be revealed as the month progresses, with daily activities for the children, families, and visitors to the city to join in the fun.
