Families in the Costa del Sol are eagerly looking forward to a major boost to local leisure options. Sould Park, a Fuengirola-based specialist in family entertainment, has invested €15 million to develop an exciting new complex beside Plaza Mayor shopping centre. Construction is being accelerated towards a late June 2026 opening, perfectly timed for the peak summer season.
What attractions will Sould Park Malaga feature?
Visitors discover a diverse mix of thrills designed for all ages. A dedicated 10,000-square-metre zone which houses mechanical rides, including a family-friendly roller coaster, bumper cars, a free-fall tower, bouncy castles, water attractions, trampolines, and a two-storey carousel. Children can enjoy classic options like a mini train and duck fishing games. Immersive experiences arrive via a 7D cinema which mixes 3D visuals, surround sound, motion, and sensory effects.
Other than rides, the park will have Malaga’s largest bowling alley with 24 lanes across 2,200 square metres. This venue will double as a social meeting point, complete with a sports bar, karaoke rooms, and VIP areas ideal for birthdays, school outings, or private events.
Expected to be popular, a 2,500-square-metre themed minigolf course will offer accessible fun without relying solely on mechanical attractions. Overall, the site will cover around 15,000 square metres (with reports of expansion), strategically positioned near Porcelanosa, the MA-20 motorway, fast-food outlets, Malaga Airport, and the Plaza Mayor train station. And of course, the new park will be opposite one of the biggest shopping centres in the province.
How does the payment model work?
Entry remains completely free, following Sould Park‘s tried-and-tested approach. Guests pay only for activities and food consumed. A rechargeable card system, linked to a digital app, handles cashless payments at rides, games, and dining spots. Loyalty perks reward frequent visitors, such as VIP status after €100 spend, unlocking a 10 per cent discount on games (with usage conditions to maintain benefits).
Why choose this location and what impact will it have?
Plaza Mayor attracts massive footfall, made easier by its transport links and proximity to tourist spots. Sould Park aims to transform short visits into full afternoons or evenings of entertainment. It is reckoned that the project will create 80 direct jobs and 40 indirect roles once fully operational.
For Sould Park, this is going to be their most ambitious effort yet. The company already operates Game arcades in La Rosaleda and Rincon de la Victoria, plus an outdoor park in Fuengirola’s Puerto Deportivo. Four distinct formats, Sould Park attractions, Game arcades, Bowling centres, and Jump trampoline parks, allow tailored experiences across Spain and Portugal.
Malaga gains a compelling new family destination competing on extended stay time, events, and repeat visits rather than single tickets alone.
