Taking place in Puerto de Mazarron from March 14 to March 22, this year’s edition of the Tapas and Cocktail Route for the San José Festival will have the highest number of participating venues to date, with more than twenty local establishments taking part. The event is a gastronomic festival that sees participation from local bars, cafes and restaurants in the municipality.

A special tapas route that will be the highlight of the San José festivities

The event will allow locals and visitors to try special tapas recipes, cocktails and desserts, prepared specifically for the gastronomic route. The dishes will also be competing to win the best gastronomic proposal at the San José Festival, giving the route an exciting air of friendly competition.

The Puerto de Mazarron Tourist Office in Plaza Toneleros will be providing locals and visitors with a special passport that can be stamped at the participating establishments, which they can then submit with a minimum of eight stamps for a chance to participate in various prize draws. Once the route is completed, participants can also vote for the best tapa.

The Tapas and Cocktail Route is one of the most anticipated events of the San José Festival programme in Puerto de Mazarron, with countless residents and tourists taking part to appreciate the vibrant local gastronomy and beloved establishments of the coastal town.

In addition to the route, this year has added an Art & Gastronomy initiative, in which some of the participating bars and restaurants will feature exhibitions of paintings, combining gastronomy with cultural enrichment.
