Mi Colchón opens Europe’s largest sleep centre in Málaga

MiColchón, the Málaga-born company with over 45 years of history, has inaugurated its MiColchón Sofas & Beds Los Vegas showroom in the El Viso industrial estate. With its vast exhibition area, it is now established as the largest sleep centre in Europe. The opening was attended by key figures from the city’s economic and social sectors.

The renovated establishment showcases top international brands – including Tempur, Flex, Sealy, and Harrison Spinks – alongside a curated selection of premium upholstery for discerning clients and interior designers. Additionally, the space features a department specialised in health-related sleep solutions and services for the hotel industry. This launch brings the group to 17 stores, while also announcing further expansion into Córdoba, Cádiz, and Murcia.

The centre employs 20 staff members, bringing the group’s total workforce to over 100 direct and indirect jobs.

“This centre reflects our evolution and our ambition to lead the European sleep sector while maintaining our core values of personalised service,” explained Jacobo Guerrero, Managing Director. His father, Manuel Guerrero, founded the first shop in El Palo nearly 45 years ago.

Innovation and “Colchonología”

MiColchón has consolidated El Viso as a unique destination in Europe, integrating advanced sleep systems with premium furniture. A key pillar of the company is “Colchonología” (Mattressology), an expert-led approach that focuses on tailoring sleep solutions to individual health needs.

“We view sleep as a key element of health,” noted Guerrero. “Conditions such as scoliosis or back pain find significant relief through proper rest. Our goal is to improve quality of life through the science of sleep.”
