Members of the Costa Blanca Rotary International Fellowship raised €500 for Javea Alzheimer’s Association, situated in the Martha y Mary Convent, within the picturesque historic centre of Javea old town.
The money will be used to purchase a selection of cymbals, tambourines and triangles for use in occupational therapy. Rotary President Ray Harris presented the cheque to Care Centre Mother Sara, in the company of fellow members; Bob Hunt, Barry Lloyd and Chris Potter.
Councillor responsible for international relations Doris Courcelles, who has been involved with the centre since it’s inauguration in 2009, also attended the presentation.
