THE Law and Economics faculties of Valencia University were forced to suspend lectures last Thursday afternoon after their halls were invaded by party goers who had been at a botellón drinking party in nearby Tarongers.
University authorities said they had to close doors to stop the drunk party-goers as they ran amock through the campus, with reportedly more than a thousand drinkers congregating on the campus at 3pm on Thursday afternoon.
As with many such social events these days the modern method of announcing the event seems to have been on Facebook, and was organised by way of protest at the university’s failure to put on the traditional student paella party.
There is no report of police involvement.
