A 61-YEAR-old British man was found dead in his swimming pool at a house on Calle Vesc de in Benissa, in the town, in the early hours of the morning.
The deceased was dining with two others at his house the night before, when he went outside to smoke. At 1am his companions went out to check on him, and discovered him in the pool.
Initial Guardia Civil hypothesis is that this was a tragic accident, and that the man slipped into the pool and drowned. His body was removed for post mortem examination, as is standard practice, and the results are still awaited.
