Torrevieja traffic incident injures five

A DRIVER ran over four pedestrians near the Galileo disco in Torrevieja in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 28).
The driver, who police reported was under the influence of alcohol, allegedly told officers that he had not noticed the group in his haste to get away as somebody wanted to attack him following an argument over a girl.
The five people injured in the accident (the driver and four victims) were taken to Torrevieja hospital, although hospital sources later confirmed their injuries were minor.
