HERO TO VILLAIN: Costa scored then was sent off in his return to La Liga
FORMER Chelsea striker Diego Costa had an eventful return to La Liga football as he scored and was immediately sent off for Atletico Madrid in a matter of minutes.
The striker was making his first start for the club since re-joining from the current Premier League Champions in a reported €65 million deal.
He scored on his return to the side in the Copa del Rey in midweek and was on hand to score his side’s second goal in the 68th minute of a 2-0 win over Getafe.
But in a dramatic twist, Costa received his marching orders seconds later after celebrating with the crowd and receiving his second yellow card of the afternoon, following his first just six minutes earlier.
