EUROPEAN ARREST WARRANT: The wanted man is detained by police
OFFICERS from Spain’s National Police force have arrested a British man who is wanted for alleged crimes of sexual assault and corruption of minors in the United Kingdom.
He was traced to a hostel in Cadiz in Andalucia in southern Spain and detained under a European Arrest Warrant.
The man, who police say has the initials DM, is wanted for alleged crimes primarily committed in the town of Kirkcaldy in Scotland.
An extradition request was issued by the authorities in the United Kingdom in December 2017.
The man has now been transferred to Madrid to appear before the courts.
