A RYANAIR flight from the UK to Spain was forced to turn around after declaring a medical emergency over the English Channel.
Flight FR8121 from Bristol Airport to Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport diverted just 30 minutes into its journey after a passenger was taken ill.
The flight that had taken off at 1.57pm yesterday (Tuesday) landed safely back at Bristol at 3pm where it was met by paramedics.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: “This flight from Bristol to Malaga (19 March) returned to Bristol Airport shortly after take-off after a passenger became ill inflight.
“In line with procedures, the crew contacted Air Traffic Control, the aircraft landed normally, and the passenger was met by medical personnel.
The condition of the passenger is not yet known.
