Portugal in shock after death of popular young singer Sara Carreira

PORTUGAL is in shock after the death of popular young singer Sara Carreira who lost her life at 21 following a car crash involving three other vehicles on a road near Póvoa da Isenta, in Santarém.

The young woman, who was the daughter of Tony Carreira, a very popular musician in Portugal, was traveling with her musician boyfriend Ivo Lucas in his own Range Rover on the A1 highway before it crashed at around 7 pm on Saturday, December 5.

According to the Portuguese media on Monday, December 7, Sara died as soon as she suffered the first of three impacts and her boyfriend is currently in the hospital in a very serious condition.

Sara Carreira, who had more than 300,000 followers on social networks, released her first song, Vou Ficar, two years ago, and months later Para Não Chorar and also launched her own clothing line recently.

“In this moment of pain, mourning and shock, I have presented my heartfelt and friendly condolences to the Carreira family for the terrible loss,” stated Rebelo de Sousa in a public note on the website of the Presidency of the Republic of Portugal.
