Foodies in Sotogrande can indulge in a culinary delight at the Cortijo Bistronomy & Seafood Experience, on Saturday, August 2, hosted at Cortijo Santa María 1962 within the luxurious SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort.
The special culinary evening celebrates Andalusia’s rich flavours and the region’s freshest seafood in a setting that pays tribute to local heritage. Bistronomy is a gastronomic concept that fuses Michelin-star cuisine with the relaxed atmosphere and more affordable prices of a bistro.
On the site of the original 1962 cortijo, Cortijo Santa María 1962 oozes tradition with modern stylishness under the direction of Executive Chef Leandro Caballero. The Bistronomy experience offers three tasting menus: Bistronomy with three courses, highlighting Cádiz’s seafood bounty. Guests can savour dishes like crispy Amélie oysters with yuzu vinaigrette, razor clam tartare with crispy ham, or squid and white shrimp noodles in a rich bisque. An optional €45 wine pairing complements the meal with regional vintages.
The restaurant’s warm, textured interiors evoke a traditional “Casa Andaluza,” while its panoramic terrace provides stunning views of the Mediterranean and rolling hills. Pets are very welcome, as are kids, so it’s a perfect outing for all the family. “We’re passionate about sharing Andalusia’s culinary soul through local ingredients,” says Chef Caballero.
Reservations are essential, with tables held for only 15 minutes past the booked time. Groups larger than eight should contact the restaurant directly. All diners at a table must select the same menu for a cohesive experience. Tickets are non-refundable and valid only for August 2. Menus from €75pp.
Book at sotogrande.com or email concierge.sosotogrande@so-hotels.com to experience Andalusia’s finest flavours.
