Just when you thought Christmas was for kids, Benalmadena pulls out all the stops with glittering drag shows and the annual festive bar crawl.

Minnelli’s Christmas drag shows

Drag cabaret bar Minnelli’s kicks off its festive season this Friday and Saturday, December 5-6, from 7pm. The Christmas show weekender promises a sparkling mix of entertainment featuring Spice, King Key, and the entire Minnelli family. Alopecia Keys will welcome guests at the door both nights. Themed around fun and sparkle, the shows promise a lively start to the holiday season at this immersive and intimate drag experience.

12 bars of Christmas fancy dress bar crawl

On Saturday, December 13, the annual 12 Bars of Christmas fancy dress bar crawl will take place, starting at 1pm, from The Hole In The Wall Bar in Arroyo de la Miel.

Participants are encouraged to get creative with their festive outfits and dress to impress as they visit bars across Arroyo de la Miel. Each bar will host a raffle with prizes donated by the bar owners, with strips available for €1. A raffle will take place at the final bar, featuring all gifts, bottles and vouchers donated by participants.

Bars along the route will offer free snacks, tapas, shots, and festive vibes. No children are permitted, but there will be games, raffles, and a collection to support a local family.

For more information and the full route, search “The Hole in the Wall, Benalmadena” on Facebook.

Festive fun for adults

Benalmadena is proving that Christmas isn’t just for kids. Whether you are crawling between bars in festive fancy dress or enjoying a glittering night of live entertainment, the town offers plenty of ways for adults to celebrate the season.
